Ridgeline homes didn't fare well

Homes along the north-east ridgeline took a direct hit from the wind driven fire racing up the hillside.

Wind driven flames roared up the hill sides and burned several homes.

Here's a view from our driveway. The fire burned beside our house from the hill in back to the street. With wind gusts to 60 mph, we were so lucky it didn't catch the house.

The Freeway Complex Fire on November 15 destroyed over a dozen homes in our tract. We were very lucky, it came right to our home butwe were spared. A big thanks to our next door neighbor and the Orange County Fire authority for knocking down the flamesmultiple times that burned on the side of our house from the hillside at the back all the way to the street.
